The role

We’re on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced QA Manager to lead and inspire our QA team. As the driving force behind our QA strategy for the Marketplace app, you’ll manage a talented group of QA Engineers, focusing not just on testing but on nurturing their professional growth through coaching, career development, and continuous learning. You’ll be at the forefront of optimizing our test and release processes for both web and native mobile applications, ensuring we’re delivering top-notch quality with cost-effective, efficient testing practices that align with our broader business goals.

Where you'll work

We are looking for a candidate based in or near Warsaw. The role will be primarily remote, but regular in-office collaboration is encouraged to support team engagement and cultural development.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the assignment of QA professionals across Engineering squads to ensure continuous, high-quality testing and on-time product delivery that meets key business priorities.

  • Partner closely with the QA Director and leadership team to define and refine the overall QA strategy, ensuring its successful implementation by both QA Engineers and Software Engineers.

  • Offer expert guidance on testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, ensuring squads are equipped to maintain and enhance product quality.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of risk-driven, cost-efficient quality management strategies, driven by data and quality metrics analysis.

What you'll need

  • 7 years of experience in QA, including 2-3 years in team or test management and 3-4 years as a hands-on QA individual contributor. Prior line management experience is strongly preferred.

  • Proven experience in introducing and scaling new tools and processes within the QA field.

  • Deep experience in testing web or native mobile applications at all levels (frontend, backend, API, database).

  • A strong understanding (even if theoretical) of how to introduce automation across various test levels, with a willingness to explore and implement automation where possible.

  • Extensive experience with agile development methodologies and a commitment to agile principles.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to various audiences - constructive, open-minded, and effective in both giving and receiving feedback.

  • A natural ability to lead by example, motivating your team to continuously improve and embrace change.

  • A passion for setting up and refining efficient testing and release processes, always looking for ways to optimize and evolve.

  • A solid understanding of KPIs, with the ability to track, measure, and drive quality improvements based on data and insights.
