About Your Business Area/Department:
Disruption handling focuses on managing any unplanned events (such as weather, strikes, or other causes that ground planes) to minimize impacts for both airlines and travelers. Within Airport and Airlines Operations, the Disruption department provides comprehensive products and solutions, enabling airlines to efficiently manage daily disruptions and large-scale disruptions affecting the entire network. This empowers customers to self-rebook and helps agents monitor the efficiency of the process.

In this role you’ll:
Common accountabilities:
• Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it is related to own area.
• Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.
• Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.
Specific accountabilities:

Test Strategy
  • Attend specification/architecture reviews and provide feedback on potential risks, issues, and gaps.
  • Define test strategy and plan, ensuring traceability with specifications and customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with CI/CD, Green IT guidelines, and quality standards (SDL, STDL, ISTQB).
Test Expertise
  • Design test cases and write scripts.
  • Prepare test environment, test data, and execute test cases.
  • Provide sign-off on tested features based on exit criteria.
  • Continuously assess and update regression and CI/CD test cases.
  • Investigate PTRs, test fixes, and enrich test suites.
Test Automation
  • Assess the need to automate test scripts.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the test automation framework.
Defect Management
  • Open defects, assign severity, and provide relevant investigation information.
  • Check defect fixes and give go/no-go decisions for production load.
Reporting
  • Communicate test activities, results, and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Provide visibility on testing progress to all teams involved.
Support
  • Mentor newcomers and provide support to QAE peers.
Knowledge Sharing
  • Share technical and functional knowledge with the QA community and stakeholders.
Quality Assurance Ambassador
  • Ensure accountability for project, product, or release quality control.
  • Promote best practices and high standards within the QA teams.
Technicity
  • Efficiently use QA tools and frameworks.
  • Suggest improvements or development of new tools.
  • Proactively address issues affecting QA team operations.
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive proposals to improve quality processes within evolving development frameworks (e.g., SAFe).
  • Contribute to reducing the environmental impact of tested applications and QA activities.
Ideal Candidate
  • Qualifications: University degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on testing experience.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient with Jira, Scrum, Agile methodologies.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Technical guidance capability.
  • Bonus Knowledge:
    • Experience with Jenkins, Octane, Confluence, Selenium, Robot Framework, Playwright.
    • Knowledge of the travel domain (airlines/airports).
    • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Couchbase), cloud technologies (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker)
