About Your Business Area/Department:Be the QA who ensures flawless integration between R&D and market delivery. At EVA, you’ll run end-to-end test campaigns that mirror real travel industry scenarios, driving excellence, and continuous improvement. If you love quality, innovation, and making an impact—this is your chance!Summary of the role:- The EVA team is a Quality Assurance (QA) team which aims to fill the “last mile” of quality between R&D and the market configurations in a seamless way. The role of a QA engineer in the EVA team is to perform test campaigns to ensure the new deliveries are correctly integrated into several market configurations and fulfill the market specifications.
- The approach to the validation of an EVA QA engineer is strictly end-to-end, and they have to think and act like a travel or airline agent and try particularly to put in place test scenarios to reproduce the common best practices in use in the travel industry.
- They have the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in their discipline, knowledge of the Amadeus business, and how it is related to their area. They work using existing procedures or guidelines and provide input to support/influence area decisions. They make recommendations on new solutions and propose improvements by analyzing different sources of information. They work with a moderate level of guidance and direction from the manager.
- Define test cases from customer requirements and ensure traceability with specifications.
- Write test plan (functional and/or non-functional and/or non-regression).
- Ensure improvement of non-regression test repository in the Change Request plan.
- Design test cases and develop automated test case scripts.
- Prepare the test environment, test data, and execute test cases.
- Give go/no-go for the customer’s test campaign.
- Be responsible for the project, product, or release of quality control.
- Provide information to developers to fix defects.
- Check PTR fix and give go/no-go for the load of Production PTRs.
- Document software defects.
- Participate in specification reviews to give input on testing requirements.
- Report and communicate test activities to the line organization, software developers, product definitions analysts, and customers.
