The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is a key member of the QTS Product Development Management team.  As a QA Engineer, you’ll manage the platform testing requirements, test plans, and execution related to development and change events for all Service Delivery Platform (SDP) modules and applications. This includes unit, functional, regression, smoke, penetration testing of all SDP API methods in addition to UI testing along with end to end integration testing. 

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

• Define quality assurance standards and procedures by which the development team will adhere
• Draft comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases including detailed API, system integration and web UI test cases
• Execute QA according to test cases and with the goal to pinpoint bugs and reveal usability enhancements
• Analyze data and workflow diagrams to identify areas of improvement in the quality system
• Prepare reports to communicate result of QA activities
• Conduct all types of testing, including but not limited to: unit, integration, system, smoke, load, automated, interface, and regression testing
• Document beta/acceptance testing and obtain formal buy-in from stakeholders
• Provide green light to push functionality in production
• Act as main point of contact for production issues. Comfortable troubleshooting issues with non-technical resources and technically documenting bugs for easy replication and efficient resolution by the software development team 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent professional experience
• Five or more years of QA experience
• Experience testing and running APIs, with an ability to troubleshoot system integration workflows
• Solid knowledge of automated testing
• Experience with testing end-to-end processes and performing root cause analysis

• Comfortable documenting detailed process flows, workflow diagrams to be used for testing and troubleshooting purposes
• US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience working with unit, integration, system, smoke, load, automated, interface, and regression testing

• Extremely detail oriented
• Ability to work independently as well being a strong team player
• Must be capable of handling multiple simultaneous tasks under pressure while maintaining strong customer service and a professional demeanor
