Get to Know the Role
As a QA Engineer at Grab, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our products by creating test plans, completing functional tests, and collaborating with Product Managers and developers. You will report to the QA Engineer Manager and you will manage crucial enhancing user experience and maintaining application stability. You'll have opportunities for professional growth in automation testing and advanced frameworks. This role is based in Petaling Jaya and hybrid.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will define test plans, test specifications, test suites, test cases and propose tools for functional testing in a programmatic manner.
- You will understand the product/feature in-depth from the end-user point of view and also the underlying implementation.
- You will work with the Product Manager, Front End, and Backend developers to understand the feature and the implementation to guide and facilitate feature tests and impacted feature test cases.
- You will debug failed test cases by analyzing logs and API responses and reporting bugs with details. Follow-up on bugs to closure.
- You will contribute to the development of our automation tests using existing framework and develop new QA automation tools
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- You have at least 2 years of experience as Automation engineer/SDET/QA engineer.
- You have experience with test methodologies, test planning, and test case design.
- You have hands-on experience in testing Android, iOS Mobile apps, Web or APIs preferably.
- You have hands-on coding experience in programming languages (Java, Python,C/ C++...) or any script languages (Python, Shell).
- You have working knowledge of Tools: Charles, Postman, UI Automation Tools(Selenium, Appium..)
- You have exposure to Agile and weekly sprint and release working models.
- You have working experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, Mocha, TestNG, or similar.
