Our R&D team is growing fast, and we are looking for QA Engineers to join our Quality Assurance Department in Vilnius or Kaunas. You will join one of the teams and be responsible for validating embedded firmware, verifying hardware functionality, and ensuring that our devices meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and compliance. The groups of products vary and some lab equipment or internally developed tools You will use to test them slightly depend on a team You join. Teltonika’s telematics business unit develops and produces easy-to-use GPS tracking devices for effective fleet management across logistics, agriculture, car sharing, construction, and more. We use the latest technologies to set new standards for the telematics industry.

In this role, you will:

  • Create detailed, comprehensive test scenarios and cases based on functional requirements, focusing primarily on embedded systems, firmware, and hardware validation, while periodically supporting the testing of related software applications.
  • Perform comprehensive test plans for embedded devices by performing regression, functional, integration, system, exploratory and other types of testing.
  • Develop and implement automated tests for device firmware and hardware using internal tools, focusing on areas where automation is most effective.
  • Analyze test results and perform root cause analysis on identified defects to provide developers with actionable insights.
  • Use lab equipment and internally developed tools to recreate real-world operating scenarios in a controlled environment for testing and debugging.
  • Daily use Jira and Zephyr Scale tools for test planning and bug tracking.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to discover, reproduce, analyze, document, and verify issues.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Developers during the design phase to identify potential logic gaps at an early stage.
  • Create clear reports, documentation and present identified defects to the responsible teams.
  • Share Your fresh perspective to help improve testing processes and methodologies.

What we expect of you:

  • 2+ years working experience in embedded systems, firmware, hardware or software testing.
  • Experience with bug-tracking and test case management tools (e.g. Jira, Zephyr Scale).
  • Working experience in writing clear and detailed test scenarios and test cases.
  • Proficiency in writing technical documentation.
  • Be familiar with internal and external communication protocols and technologies such as BT, BLE, Mesh, MQTT, 2G/3G/LTE, GNSS or UART.
  • Strong interest in hardware through personal or academic projects.
  • Working experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify root causes and assess complex issues.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple test executions and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Hands-on working experience with testing IoT devices.
  • Experience with test tools and lab equipment (e.g. multimeter, power supply, etc.).
  • Electronics knowledge (understanding how hardware, firmware and software interact, bachelor’s degree in an Electronics/Engineering field or related technical competencies).
  • Hands-on working experience in test automation (HW/FW/SW).
  • Category B driver’s license required for field-test executions.
  • Any other relevant experience that you think makes you a great fit!

Salary:

We appreciate everyone's efforts and experiences, so we offer an attractive salary matching your skillset and field expertise. The salary for this position ranges from 15 Eur/h up to 20 Eur/h (~2500 Eur—3300 Eur) pre-tax, depending on your experience and expertise, with the option to get bonuses.

*In an employment agreement, we specify and define a fixed (tariff) hourly salary rate before taxes.
