Job Description
This role requires working from our local Hyderabad office 2-3x a week.
INTRODUCTION
We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our development team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about quality assurance, eager to work closely with developers, and interested in learning automation testing. As a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our software products meet high-quality standards through manual and automated testing.
You can expect a collaborative and flexible environment where you’ll have exposure and learn from experienced QA and development teams. You’ll also have opportunities to grow into a senior QA role with mentorship and development. If you’re interested, we want to hear from you!
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand feature requirements and create test plans.
- Perform manual testing to validate user stories and ensure proper functionality before release.
- Assist in writing automation tests to improve test coverage and reduce regression issues.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or similar to validate backend functionality.
- Identify, document, and track bugs, working with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Learn and apply testing frameworks and best practices to improve software quality.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
- Knowledge of manual testing techniques and an interest in learning test automation.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Familiarity with any programming or scripting language (Python, Java, or JavaScript preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with developers.
