Key Responsibilities
•
Analyze business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
•
Perform functional, integration, regression, system, exploratory, usability, and end-to-end testing of web-based applications.
•
Test RESTful APIs and validate request payloads, responses, status codes, error handling, and integrations with third-party systems.
•
Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution using appropriate defect-management tools.
•
Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure high-quality releases.
•
Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
•
Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, regression suites, and test execution reports.
•
Validate application data using SQL queries and perform backend database testing.
•
Conduct production validation and support troubleshooting of issues reported by customers or internal teams.
•
Perform cross-browser and responsive testing across supported browsers and devices.
•
Identify gaps, edge cases, and potential risks early in the software development lifecycle.
•
Provide clear updates on testing progress, defects, release readiness, and quality risks.
•
Contribute to improving QA processes, testing standards, documentation, and overall product quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
•
4+ years of professional experience in manual software testing or quality assurance.
•
Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, test levels, defect life cycles, and quality-assurance best practices.
•
Hands-on experience testing web applications and complex end-to-end business workflows.
•
Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and user-acceptance testing.
•
Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, Insomnia, or similar tools.
•
Ability to write SQL queries for validating data in relational databases such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
•
Experience creating detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, and execution reports.
•
Experience using defect and test-management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, or similar platforms.
•
Good understanding of client-server architecture, HTTP/HTTPS, browser developer tools, JSON, and API-based integrations.
•
Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
•
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
•
Ability to communicate defects, risks, and testing outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•
Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned features, and manage testing priorities within release timelines.

Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO.
•
Experience creating, maintaining, or executing automated regression test suites.
•
Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.

Experience with API automation tools or frameworks such as Rest Assured, Postman/Newman, or Karate.
•
