We are looking for a ready-to-deploy, hands-on Senior QA Automation & Load/Performance Test Engineer with end-to-end testing experience in retail POS ecosystems. The candidate must be able to immediately design, implement, and execute full automation and load testing — without relying on a training period — using modern frameworks and AI-assisted test script generation.
This role requires strong retail POS and integration testing knowledge, automation framework design expertise, test infrastructure setup capabilities, and the ability to validate high-transaction-volume performance at enterprise scale.Key Responsibilities
Automation
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable automation frameworks for Jumpmind POS (Register, Backoffice, Central Office).
- Automate complex functional flows spanning sales, returns, promotions, inventory, reporting, and multi-system data sync.
- Utilize AI-based testing tools (e.g., Testim.io, Mabl, Functionize, Copilot-assisted code generation) for code/script creation and documentation, avoiding traditional manual coding approaches.
- Set up robust test data management processes for dynamic retail scenarios.
- Configure infrastructure to schedule and run automation scripts across environments with failover and recovery mechanisms.
- Generate real-time and scheduled reports with actionable insights and trend analysis.
- Plan and execute end-to-end load, stress, and scalability testing for the entire landscape:
- POS Register, POS Backoffice, POS Central Office
- METL integration layer
- Symmetric DS synchronous data layer
- Related upstream/downstream systems (RMS, RPM, RTLog to RESA)
- Simulate 1,000 store load with ~1 million transactions/day throughput.
- Identify and monitor systemic performance bottlenecks.
- Use tools like Apache JMeter, Gatling, Locust, or enterprise equivalents.
- Prepare full performance assessment reports including recommendations for tuning.
- 8+ years in QA Automation & Load/Performance Testing.
- Proven experience in retail POS automation
- Strong skills designing and implementing test automation frameworks (Selenium or equivalent) for Chromium-based applications.
- Proven track record setting up:
- Test data creation and lifecycle management
- Test scheduling and execution infrastructure
- Failover and error recovery in automated tests
- Reporting dashboards and analytics
- Deep familiarity with AI-assisted automation tools for script generation & documentation.
- Strong experience with JMeter or similar tools for large-scale load testing.
- SQL proficiency, especially in PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of retail integration architecture, including RMS, RPM, and RTLog processes via METL.
- Experience testing large-scale transaction systems with high concurrency.
