We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Playwright Automation Engineer to lead automation strategy,
build scalable frameworks and drive quality excellence across our products. If you are passionate about modern automation engineering and enjoy solving complex quality challenges, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and enhance scalable automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript/Python).
Develop automated tests for UI, API, cross-browser, and cross-platform scenarios.
Implement advanced features: network mocking, tracing, visual validation, test data management.
Integrate Playwright test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
Evaluate new tools and frameworks to improve automation efficiency and reliability.
Perform pull request (PR) reviews, enforce coding standards, and support clean code practices.
Manage Git workflows, including branching, merging, and resolving conflicts.
Lead automation initiatives across multiple teams/projects.
Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to ensure high test coverage.
Participate in sprint planning, design discussions, and risk assessments.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years in QA automation, including 5+ years hands-on Playwright expertise.
Strong coding experience in TypeScript/JavaScript/Python.
Deep understanding of HTML, DOM, CSS, JavaScript events, REST APIs.
Expertise in Page Object Model (POM), BDD/TDD, and modern test design.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
Experience managing large test suites and reducing test flakiness.
Hands-on experience with Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD tools.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of security, accessibility, or performance testing.
Experience with cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, LambdaTest).
Familiarity with Docker or containerized test execution.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and leadership presence.
Ability to lead technical discussions and influence QA strategy.
Experience mentoring junior and mid-level automation engineers.
