QA Automation Engineer (Java or C#)

This position offers:

Responsibilities:

• QA and test web-applications following Agile methodology guidelines

• Create and maintain test scripts to verify scalability, security, functionality, and usability for successful code deployments

• Innovate and automate test cases with CI/CD and cross browser enablement

• Automate API (web services and RESTful), and backend database testing using existing tools / new tools

• Build, catalog, maintain, and execute sets of automated scripts to assist in regression testing weekly software builds

• Work closely in collaboration with the development team to facilitate rapid development according to accepted plans and requirements

• Implement and maintain automation framework

• Coordinate with QA team on testing activities for given release

• Provide usability and functionality feedback to developers

• Participating in sprint planning meetings and daily standup meetings

• Develop test plans, test cases on multiple projects of varying size

• Ensure development projects are delivered to production only after meeting rigorous testing standards in pre-production environments

• Ensure software enhancements and system fixes work flawlessly to meet intended business needs according to defined requirements

• Bug logging and bug management

Required skills and experience:

• Bachelor degree required

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a similar role

• Experience in building and executing manual test cases and converting into automated scripts

• Track record of QA Testing experience- demonstrated ability to write test plans with traceability to each acceptance criteria listed in requirements

• Experience in developing overall test strategy and plans for complex system implementations including a variety of technologies and design patterns

• Proven experience in Selenium, Playwright automation frameworks

• Professional experience in JAVA / C# programing languages

• Experience testing RESTful web services and API's

• Experience with GUI driven testing as well as programmatic testing

• Experience with Continuous Integration systems like Jenkins, TeamCity, etc

• Experience with bug tracking systems such as JIRA, Azure DevOps etc

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills

Desired skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field - computer science or related field preferred or equivalent work experience

• Strong analysis and autonomous problem discovery and solving skills

• Software development background is a plus (.NET, JAVA etc.)

• Performance and Load testing experience

• Previous experience working in an agile development environment

• Comfortable working across time zones

• Business process understanding
