Job Description

QA Specialist ensures quality in all stages of production. Develops and maintains HACCP plans, manages the HACCP team, assures that all Sanitation, Pest control, GMP and other Food safety activities are in compliance with JDE corporate requirements. Involved in incoming raw and pack materials qualification and acceptance; SFP and FP quality control to assure all processes and products comply to local legal, European and JDE corporate requirements (GMP, HACCP, QCMS, ISO, etc.).

Implements initial and periodical training courses in the field of Food safety, GMP, HACCP and Sanitary design.

Co-ordinates the implemented Quality systems (ISO/FSSC 22000, 14001, 45001,), updates QA department related procedures and maintains the eQCMS system database.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the quality system is established, implemented and maintained in compliance with ISO 22000, 14001, 45001 and, JDE QMS and business needs. Supports the process owners at preparation and update of the documentation, reviews quality procedures and approves quality work instructions. Directs corrective and preventive actions and tracks their execution. Participates in implementation and maintenance of the quality and laboratory related ISO procedures and work instruction. Performs internal audits of plant QMS and EMS. Initiates and / or implements preventive and corrective actions.
  • Ensures conformity with the active Bulgarian and European legislation in the field QA Co-operates with respective state authorities (RVPS) and implements in a timely manner all applicable new requirements.
  • Manages and co-ordinates activities related to GMP, Pest control and Sanitation to ensure compliance to JDE corporate requirements. Trains and coaches managers in GMP and Sanitation area;
  • Plans and performs monthly GMP and Sanitation Audits within CP Kostinbrod, identifies non-conformities and the respective root causes, supports the responsible managers in corrective actions execution. Plans and performs quarterly Pest control Audits together with external Pest control company.
  • Monitors the production area in accordance with GMP, HACCP, sanitary and pest control requirements. Provides the required GMP information and GMP trainings of all factory employees and plant subcontractors.
  • Schedules cleaning procedures for production and non- production areas, including outside area as well. Co-ordinates and evaluates the third-party cleaning service activities. Plans, reviews and approves the type of detergents, disinfection and other cleaning agents and tools.
  • Controls pack material Vendor performance, registers complaints, follows up on corrective and preventive actions and tracks improvement.
  • Creates and executes testing plans
  • Manages the HACCP team. Ensure preparation and approval of HACCP plans including newly launched products according to JDE HACCP Standards and maintains the HACCP documentation. Plans and performs HACCP audits, identifies non-conformities and the root causes, supports respective managers in corrective actions, evaluates validation and verification of CCP’s. Trains and coaches regularly all Mondelez employees in HACCP including the subject of extraneous matters.
  • Administrates and maintains the eQCMS system. Performs training for all employees using the e QCMS system. Provides system related support.
  • Controls internal audits and issues internal audits plan schedule. Provides training for all internal auditors to ensure understanding of the Quality Management System and auditing process.
  • Participates on Equipment Design Review process. Ensures participation in large project equipment sanitation design reviews for new plant installation or modifications to existing equipment.
  • Performs “Hold/ Release” of incoming GC and packaging materials; GC, SFP and FP according results of analytical and sensory analyses and assure compliance with the relevant specifications.
  • Works with corporate Quality on the training requirements in the area of sanitation best practice, pest control and sanitary design. Ensures development of key linkage between sanitation, plant quality and operations. Ensures all corrective actions are followed up.
  • Prepares and updates QA related procedures within JDE QCMS, IS 9001 and FSSC 22 000 and maintains corresponding documentation.
  • Supports R&D and BD in new product development, trial organization and performance at site. Maintains the required FP technological documentation in accordance with the Bulgarian legislation.
  • Ensures compliance of the processes of the area of responsibilities with corporate QPE’s and SHE requirements.
  • Supports the Continuous Improvement process at the plant.

Prepares PRs and tracks their further status.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Food Technology, Chemistry or Engineering is required.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of ISO quality system and QCMS, HACCP standards
  • Good knowledge of the National and EU Food Safety regulations preferred.
  • Good communication skills, self- motivated, proactive, self- confidence
  • Excellent knowledge of English and high level of PC literacy (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Good analytical and organizing skills.
  • Ability to solve problems in manager’s absence.
