QA Analyst-Chennai

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Automation Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in Playwright, JavaScript, Postman, API testing, Integration testing, and Regression testing. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining manual and automation frameworks, ensuring software quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, JavaScript, and Visual Studio Code (VS Code)

• Perform manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications

• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, sanity, API, and end-to-end test cases

• Validate integrations between multiple systems and services

• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar platforms

• Analyze requirements, test results, report defects, and track issues using JIRA

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure software quality

• Maintain automation frameworks, reusable test utilities, and test data

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

• Perform root cause analysis for defects and production issues

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production releases

• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing strategies

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• 5+ years of software testing experience with at least 3 years in automation testing

• Hands-on experience with Playwright, JavaScript, Postman and Visual Studio Code (VS Code)

• Experience with manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, sanity, and end-to-end testing

• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools

• Experience using JIRA for defect tracking and test management

• Good knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend verification

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum

• Experience working with Git and CI/CD environments

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate remotely with global cross-functional teams

• Ability to identify testing risks, edge cases, and quality gaps

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

• Passion for testing and continuous improvement

• Knowledgeable in Swagger, jMeter or Python

• Experience testing Learning Management Systems (LMS), language learning platforms, or other e-learning applications

• Experience testing integrations between multiple systems, third-party APIs, and enterprise applications

• Experience with performance or load testing tools

• Experience using AI tools to improve software testing, including test case generation, test automation, defect analysis, and test data creation

• Strong AI prompting skills, with experience using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude) to enhance QA productivity and test automation
