We are seeking an Python Software Engineer to join our dynamic Tech team. The ideal candidate is curious and organized. Will work with biometric and behavioural modelling experts to build and maintain API based on data science models and expert inputs, serving millions of users.
ResponsibilitiesKey duties and responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend APIs used in production, following internal best practices and code quality standards.
Collaborate with biometric and behavioural modelling experts to integrate data science models into scalable API solutions.
Implement technical improvements under the supervision of a tech lead, ensuring proper documentation and testing.
Contribute to the standardization of deployment processes across cloud-native environments (containers, managed services).
Participate in code reviews, monitor API performance, and ensure reliability and security of deployed services.
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance performance, automation, and maintainability.
Required experience & competencies
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
Proficiency in Python, including frameworks such as FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, pandas, and numpy.
Minimum 4 years of professional experience developing, designing and deploying API architectures in production environments, on Azure using managed services (e.g., AKS, App Service).
Knowledge of relational database management systems (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or MySQL).
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with an ability to work autonomously and in teams.
Effective communication and documentation skills in English (written and spoken).
Required Education
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Engineering school diploma with a focus on software development
- Relevant certifications in Azure Cloud or backend development
