Job Description

Development is the largest discipline at Endava. Our developers design, build, and release software products in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and libraries. Always collaborating with cross-functional project teams, our developers are adaptable problem-solvers with a client-oriented mindset.

As a Senior Developer at Endava, you are responsible for implementing and delivering high-quality software products using Agile Scrum methodology. As a part of a global project, you can contribute your technical expertise and experience in order to the project succeed.

In our digital age, data demands high-bandwidth networks, making fiber optics essential for speed. However, managing these networks can be complex. Our project offers a user-friendly solution, streamlining optical fiber network management. It features modern, open architecture, providing seamless control and simplifying operations for all users. With our web application, handling your optical network becomes straightforward and efficient, ensuring customers stay ahead in the fast-paced digital world.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement RESTful APIs, services, and server-side logic.
• Write clean, modular, and reusable code following best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with Frontend Developers, Product Owners, and Testers to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Actively participate in technical discussions.
• Review and provide constructive feedback on the work of development team members.
• Participate in the review of the work done by development team members.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Explore and integrate new technologies to improve the development process and project outcomes.
• Share expertise and lessons learned from projects to foster team growth and improvement.
• Propose solutions independently and demonstrate the ability to articulate these solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Mandatory skills:

• Strong expertise in Python with 3+ years of experience.
• Solid experience with Django and Django REST Framework (DRF).
• In-depth understanding of RESTful API principles and design.
• Experience in developing Web APIs, Web Services, REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with database optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of Redis and caching mechanisms.
• Proficiency with Docker for containerization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• Proficient with Git and Bitbucket.
•  Familiarity with unit/integration testing practices.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of design principles and patterns (e.g., SOLID, dependency injection) and adherence to quality standards.
• Good communication in English, client facing skills.

Desired skills:

• Familiarity with ReactJS.
• Ability to learn quickly, demonstrate sociability, and work proactively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
