As a Senior Associate in the Cash Management Operations team, you will lead a team to ensure regulatory compliance, optimize processes, and maintain high levels of efficiency and accuracy in payment processing. You will leverage your technical expertise, leadership skills, and regulatory knowledge to ensure the efficient and compliant handling of payment transactions. You will also support the Payment Ops Head and act as a backup, positioning yourself in the succession pipeline for the Payment Ops Head role.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of payment processing specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage day-to-day operations of payment processing, ensuring adherence to procedures and service level agreements.
- Ensure compliance with international regulations, including AML, KYC, and sanctions screening requirements.
- Improve payment processing workflows continuously to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with overseas payments by implementing effective risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with external partners to optimize payment processing capabilities and resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor KPIs and metrics, analyze trends, and drive operational excellence.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving payment-related issues.
- Generate insightful reports on payment processing activities for management decision-making.
- Stay updated on changes in payment regulations and industry best practices.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of international payment systems and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent in English, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 10 years of experience in payment processing operations, with a focus on international payments.
- Proficiency in payment processing software and financial systems. Knowledge of Alteryx/Xceptor is a plus.
