Provides psychological assessments and recommendations.
- Completes Psychological assessments.
- Reviews client’s case history and determine the psychological services that are necessary; the assessment of services may address the following areas: personality, functioning, intellectual abilities, school achievement testing and vocations.
- Will work with medical practitioner to assist with referral and diagnosis of FASD.
- Administers and scores psychometric instruments, completes a mental status assessment, educational needs assessment and dictates a report summarizing these assessments.
- Consults on the substance abuse assessments.
- Provides a diagnosis utilizing current DSM.
- Meets with client/client family and when applicable, their provider of substance use services to review assessment.
- May provide individual, family and group therapy, as needed.
- Implements SFCS policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent SFCS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and all term contractual terms.
- Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.
- Ensures clients’ rights are protected.
- Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures
- Master’s degree in psychology.
- Licensed in the State of Kansas.
- Prefer 2 years’ experience.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must pass a physical examination, including drug screen
- Must pass an MVR, KBI and Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
Skills Required
- Master's degree in psychology
- Licensed in the State of Kansas
- Approximately 2 years' experience preferred
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must pass a physical examination, including drug screen
- Must pass MVR, KBI and Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry clearance checks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
