Job Title: PYP Kannada Teacher
Role Overview
Harvest International School is seeking a passionate and
dedicated PYP Kannada Teacher to deliver high-quality language instruction
aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme. The role involves fostering a love
for the Kannada language through inquiry-based learning and supporting
students’ overall linguistic and cultural development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan
and deliver engaging Kannada lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework
- Develop
students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in Kannada
- Integrate
Kannada language learning with PYP transdisciplinary themes
- Create
a positive, inclusive, and inquiry-driven classroom environment
- Use
formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress
- Maintain
accurate student records and provide timely feedback to parents
- Collaborate
with homeroom teachers, PYP coordinators, and academic teams
- Participate
in school events, curriculum planning, and professional development
programs
- Promote
Kannada language and culture through activities and events
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s
or Master’s degree in Kannada or a related field
- B.Ed.
or equivalent teaching qualification
- 2–5
years of experience teaching primary grades
- Familiarity
with IB PYP or inquiry-based learning approaches (preferred)
- Strong
communication and classroom management skills
- Ability
to create engaging, student-centered learning experiences
