Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $20.29.

This is a production position working to ensure safe work practices while producing quality products. The job requires that the employee be able to work safely and follow safety rules. Employee must be dependable, able to follow instructions and directions, according to established operating procedures.

Rate: $20.29 Starting Rate

1 position on 2nd shift: Shift: 3:15pm - 12:15am

1 position on 1st shift: Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm

  • Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements
  • Show initiative in supporting safety, plant wide. Participates on committees as required
  • Wears all required and proper PPE
  • Use safe work practices, and reports hazardous conditions to supervisor
  • Complete computer-based training and all other programs needed to stay in compliance with company policy’s
  • Ensures that all Housekeeping & 5S areas of responsibility have been completed before end of shift and keeps equipment, work areas and other prescribed areas clean and orderly at all times
  • Monitors and reports equipment conditions
  • Take Off – Remove formed/molded PVC fittings from table saw and place them in trim area or aside as needed
  • Flip the PVC fittings at the table
  • Trimming PVC fittings with hand scissors to the correct length
  • Converts fittings to meet established specifications
  • Reports equipment malfunctions, operation delays, or product defects immediately to supervisor or leader
  • FG sorting & knowledge of bundling chart
  • Prepares production reports as directed or required
  • Receives and follows verbal and written instructions from supervisor or lead
  • Performs flipping online (TSL & Brown machines)
  • Knowledge of fitting storage locations
  • Use of end cap cutter
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience and Skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Flexible in work and assignments
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment in a safe manner
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities during the course of a day
The job requires working frequently around and with heavy machinery with moving mechanical parts, and mobile equipment.  The environment is not climate controlled, and employees must be able to work in environments that may be extremely hot and or cold depending upon the operation and the season. The environment may be dirty from oils/grease and may be noisy from the machinery.  Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment at all times. PPE includes steel-toed shoes, ear protection, eye protection, gloves and high visibility clothing.
