About the Role
The Marine Division of Carrier Corporation has supplied the international maritime and offshore industries for decades.
By coordinating our activities under one Marine umbrella, we can utilize our newest technology and offer a wide portfolio of marine solutions, services and expertise to ship builders, owners, and operators worldwide. Carrier Marine and Offshore Systems is responsible for providing air conditioning products and systems for cruise ships to offshore platforms to oil tankers
We are looking for a candidate for our procurement department dedicated to providing support on several processes in the supply chain.
Key accountabilities
- Key person to create and send purchase orders for our spare parts division, service division and New Equipment division.
- Assists with invoice approval procedures.
- Arranges transport with preferred forwarding companies.
- Monitoring backlog and contact suppliers.
- Liaise with suppliers to manage the purchase orders.
- Responsible to process accurate delivery dates in our ERP system (SAP).
- Responsible for inbound deliveries/goods receipt processes with our external warehouse (GEODIS).
- Responsible for inventory in collaboration with the external warehouse and procurement manager.
- Interact with internal customers and external vendors to resolve any procurement related issues.
- Comply with company’s code of ethics and complete all annual online trainings
Qualifications & Skills
- BS degree of Applied Science / Economics is a plus.
- Good command of English in speaking and writing. +Dutch is a plus.
- Experience in supply chain/procurement is a plus.
- Organized with strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize.
- Strong follow-up and follow-through skills to meet project deadlines and satisfy customer needs.
- Strong communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Pro-active and positive attitude.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience or via internships
