Purchase Finish Goods Planner

The PFG Planner/Buyer is responsible to procure all finished goods globally into our main distribution centers. They play a pivotal role in optimizing supply health level, maintaining a high level of service, identification of short to medium term SIOP risks and opportunities. The PFG Buyer is responsible for executing the processes critical to achieving continuity of supply.
What will you be doing?
Procures all finished good items for global requirements via Maestro planning system
Maintains status of all finish goods shortages that affect or will affect supply plan, communicate early and often to stakeholders
Review and maintain master data accuracy require to generate an optimal purchase plan
Monitors and expedites all purchase order to achieve optimum delivery of all items. Purchase order delivery dates maintained regularly
Researches and develops vendors and maintains a mutually satisfying relationship with current and prospective supplies.
Meet with suppliers weekly/monthly to align their manufacturing schedules to meet our needs.
Ensures that all purchase agreements and negotiations are in accordance with established purchasing policies and procedures.
Maintains contact with the marketing, product management, forecasting, legal, regulatory affairs, quality, supplier quality, manufacturing teams, and accounts payable.
Plans and assists in the implementation of approved systems.
Coordinates the timely resolution of rejected purchased items/materials
Prepares management reports such as vendor performance, past due order, order/lines processed, discount savings.
Performs monthly supply review for relevant vendors
What will you need to be successful?
BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Engineering or other related field, or equivalent experience. MBA a plus or willingness to pursue certification required.
Fluent in English
APIC/Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma desired.
Minimum 2 years in Supply Chain purchasing.
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience using Maestro & SAP or similar MRP software.
Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain.
Ensure purchasing functions are performed with quality management systems and corporate policies.
Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) & Maestro and MS software e.g. Excel, Access Power-point and PowerBI
