Public Relations Manager 
•    Lead and execute strategic global PR campaigns that elevate SmartBear’s brand, products, and executive thought leadership in developer, engineering, and business media.
•    Own media relations strategy and agency management to drive measurable coverage, share of voice, and market positioning.
•    Translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives that position SmartBear as a leader in modern software quality and AI-powered development solutions.

About the role

As a Public Relations Manager you will:
•    Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies supporting product launches, company milestones, executive visibility, and corporate announcements.
•    Manage and optimize performance of external PR agencies, ensuring alignment to strategic goals, KPIs, and brand positioning.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier technology and influencers, developer, and business media; handle press inquiries and coordinate interviews with SmartBear spokespeople.
•    Craft high-impact content including press releases, media pitches, thought leadership articles, award submissions, and customer success narratives.
•    Act as strategic communications counsel to senior leadership, preparing executives for media engagements, speaking opportunities, and industry events.
•    Monitor, analyze, and report on media coverage, campaign effectiveness, and industry trends to continuously refine messaging and positioning.

We are looking for you if you have

•    5-7 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications within the technology sector, ideally in multi-product SaaS organizations.
•    Proven success managing PR agencies and delivering measurable media results in competitive markets.
•    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong storytelling capabilities.
•    Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
•    Established relationships with developer, engineering, and business media contacts.
•    Strong project management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Your SmartBear total rewards compensation package includes base salary and may also include a performance bonus plan. The base salary range for this role is listed below. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and geographic location.
