DIRECTLY REPORTS TO: 

PR and Events Marketing Officer

 

MAIN AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated PR & Events Internship Trainee to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public relations and event coordination, while working alongside industry professionals. This is an exciting chance to learn about media relations, event planning, and brand communications in a fast-paced, creative environment.

 

TASKS

  • Assist in drafting and editing press releases, media pitches, and other PR-related content.
  • Help monitor media coverage and track press mentions for reports.
  • Research and compile media lists for outreach to targeted journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
  • Maintain and update media databases.
  • Assist in planning and executing events, from small-scale meetings to large-scale conferences and brand activations.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, such as booking venues, arranging catering, and managing event materials.
  • Support the team with on-site event management, including guest registration, ensuring schedules are followed, and assisting with any other ad-hoc needs.
  • Help in monitoring and create content for web and social media platforms
  • Provide general administrative support to the PR and Events team.
  • Assist in managing schedules, organizing meetings, and preparing presentations
  • Attend industry events and networking functions to represent the company and assist with building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain professional relationships with event vendors, partners, and media contacts.

 

QUALIFICATIONS | COMPETENCIES:

  • Currently pursuing or recent graduate of a degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Events Management, or related fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Familiarity with social media management/Canva tools is a plus.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
