WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Fors Marsh’s Strategic Creative & Communications business unit is expanding their Media & Engagement practice area, and is seeking a Public Relations and Engagement Manager.

The PR and Engagement manager will support clients’ projects for multiple health or social impact work, and will juggle competing and fast deadlines daily. The ideal candidate will be comfortable pitching media and making media lists, and understand the art of earned media and how a newsroom operates.

• Identifies ways to elevate client messaging among target audiences through earned media, events, social media, press conferences, community relations programs, research, and other activities.

• Demonstrates strategic thinking by identifying target audiences, key messaging, and ways to effectively reach and engage audiences.

• Fosters a collaborative and high-performance culture, driving excellence in strategy and execution.

• Stays updated on industry trends, customer insights, and best practices.

• Collaborates with the Creative team and writers to ensure messaging consistency.

• Regularly analyzes data, generates reports, and presents findings.

• Uses and leverages media tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater).

• Demonstrates initiative by troubleshooting and moving projects forward with less guidance.

• Prepares media materials drafts and assists with the development of client-facing materials, including PR, earned media, or event plans and reports.

• Corresponds with clients, maintains project schedules, and coordinates with other team members with minimal oversight.

• Works across teams (e.g., Paid Media, Creative, Partnerships) and with clients to develop and execute earned media plans.

• Schedules, coordinates, and oversees the implementation of in-person and virtual engagement events (planning, logistics, and execution).

• Supports client outreach and engagement events as needed (e.g., tabling a booth, running webinar logistics) by focusing on best practices and taking initiative.

• 4-6 years of relevant work experience in media relations in social sciences, public health, or related campaigns.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in marketing, communication, or public relations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary.

• Media relations software (Cision, Meltwater, etc) experience desired.

• Experience conducting earned media outreach with successful results is desired.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements.

• Dedicated training and development budgets to expand your expertise and grow your skillset.
