Responsibilities
Corporate Communications
- Develop, edit and deploy a wide variety of internal and external communications, including email messages, talking points, scripts, press releases and articles
- Assist with the development and execution of public relations strategies that drive coverage across all forms of earned media
- Identify, track and secure thought leadership, speaking and award opportunities for executives
- Assist with the creation and deployment of executive communications
- Provide proofing and delivery support for a wide variety of internal and external communication vehicles and channels
- Analyze all earned media coverage of the organization and drafting appropriate responses, work alongside external agency partner
- Work with the social media, brand and marketing teams to create an editorial content calendar
- Organize promotional events such as press tours and conferences
- Represent the organization at interviews, events, press conferences, etc.
- Work across all departments and LOBs, and in tandem with their colleagues across multiple marketing disciplines, to ensure messages address audiences' unique needs
Crisis Communications
- Coordinate crisis management communications as necessary
- Maintain crisis response playbooks
- Serve as an active participant in internal and external crisis communication scenarios
Qualifications
- 4-7+ years of experience as a communications or public relations professional
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with an editor’s eye for grammar, structure, flow and style
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work effectively and calmly in a fast-paced, diverse, high-pressure and matrixed environment
- Experience working in a complex environment, with corporate experience a plus
- Familiarity with AP Style a plus
