The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for turning fragmented workforce, cost and operational data into trusted, decision-ready insights for Technology and Operations leadership. The role sits at the centre of the SDO data engine, owning the end-to-end flow from source data to executive dashboards, and partnering with central functions and local business units (LBUs) to drive transparency on headcount, total cost of ownership (TCO) and capability mix.
Data Engineering and Quality
Consolidate, clean and transform data from multiple central and LBU sources into a single, reliable analytical baseline.
Build and maintain repeatable data pipelines and templates that reduce manual handling and improve refresh cycle time.
Run validation checks with regional CITOs, HRBPs and finance partners to ensure data accuracy before publication.
Analytics and Insight Generation
Drive core metric calculations across workforce (headcount, span of control, CW vs perm mix) and cost (TCO per FTE, per application, per LBU).
Conduct cross-market benchmarking and trend analysis to surface efficiency, capability and cost optimisation opportunities.
Translate quantitative findings into clear business interpretation for senior stakeholders, not just charts and tables.
Dashboarding and Visualisation
Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards (including TechNucleus and Ops Headcount) that provide unified workforce and cost intelligence.
Manage monthly dashboard refreshes, release notes and stakeholder communications.
Continuously enhance usability, data model performance and self-serve adoption among central leads and regional CITOs.
Stakeholder Partnership
Act as the analytics point of contact for central teams, regional CITOs and LBU partners on workforce and cost data queries.
Support SWP (Strategic Workforce Planning), VCC and transformation programmes with on-demand analysis and scenario modelling.
Contribute to executive-ready materials, briefing packs and board-level reporting where data is the backbone.
Job Requirement
Degree in a quantitative or business discipline (Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related).
Hands-on experience in data analytics, business intelligence or workforce/financial analytics, preferably in a multi-market or matrixed organisation.
Strong proficiency in Power BI (data modelling, DAX, visual design) and Excel; working knowledge of SQL and Python is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to clean, transform and validate large, messy datasets with high accuracy.
Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and translating data into business narrative.
Detail-oriented and evidence-led, with a strong instinct for data quality and methodology rigour.
Self-starter who can operate independently across markets and time zones.
Collaborative connector who builds trust with central and LBU partners.
Bias for action, with the ability to balance speed, accuracy and clarity in a fast-moving transformation environment
