Process elections for employees of new and existing groups during the group setup process by entering the information into the computer system. Missing information is researched by telephone contact or through group administrators.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Enter data for new and existing members from election forms and electronic files, with a high level of speed and accuracy.
  • Review data entry and accurately fills out Group Set-Up Checklist.
  • Generate documentation from our processing systems to send to the group after set-up is completed.
  • Update group information in multiple databases.
  • Answer telephone questions from internal and external customers regarding group setup processing procedures and status on specific elections. Provide support with the department phone queue as needed.
  • Work closely with Sales staff on set-up issues and with billing area to support ongoing plan administration.
  • Must meet or exceed department standards for accuracy and production.
  • Understand the importance of courtesy to internal and external customers.
  • Follow department and company-wide policies and procedures.
  • Attendance must meet or exceed company guidelines.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training, and take advantage of opportunities to increase knowledge and skills.
  • Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.

Supporting Responsibilities:

  • Continuous contact with department staff and frequent contact with other personnel. Daily contact with external customers.
  • Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUCCESS PROFILE

Work Experience: One year of office experience required. Experience in Microsoft Office products and specific experience in formatting database information in Excel preferred.

Education, Certificates, Licenses: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Knowledge: Basic math skills/experience required. Ability to prioritize work and meet department metrics and timelines. Advanced computer skills, ability to type using a standard keyboard and operate a 10-key pad by touch. Ability to clearly communicate in person and over the telephone and is able to request and exchange information in a pleasant, respectful and professional manner. Ability to read and understand group plan documents.

Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 5% of the time.

Physical Requirements: Stoop and bend. Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while performing core job functions. Repetitive motions to include typing, sorting and filing. Light lifting and carrying of files and business materials. Ability to read and comprehend both written and spoken English. Communicate clearly and effectively.
