SUMMARY: LAUKOA is currently seeking applicants to fill our Provider positions located throughout the State of Florida in support of the Medical Readiness Services for the Florida Army National Guard. Work is primarily on weekends, with some occasional weekdays. All work is on a part-time "as needed” basis.

We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the Florida Army National Guard (FLARNG).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel
  • Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires
  • Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns
  • Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health
  • Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member's medical record using the Military module(s)
  • Document findings on Military approved forms and/or systems
  • Safeguard all patient information
  • Ensures all actions are in compliance with HIPAA and other appropriate federal and state laws and regulations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervising Physician may required depending on the state requirement

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active PA, MD, DO or NP license in the state, without restrictions
  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • Adaptable to fast paced environments, with large volumes of service members seen daily
  • Able to work extended hours
  • Able to work in various locations, including remote military installations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • A valid US driver’s license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly
  • Ability to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed
  • Must submit no less than two professional references with a resume

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Military setting
  • Previous Common Access Card (CAC) holder
