Position Purpose: The Provider Network Assistant assists in all phases of physician contracting, including initial screening of provider nominations, database entry, contract and letter mailings, and document filing.
- Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
- Researches and screens provider Network Participation Requests. Researches and appropriately reassigns misrouted issues.
- Prepares and mails/faxes provider letters and contract packets.
- Prepares and mails provider welcome packets.
- Scans/files completed contracts. Scans, files and manages existing provider contract documents.
- Provides research and administrative support to the department.
- Keeps detailed and accurate notes regarding all negotiation efforts in the tracking database.
- Communicates information between Health Net and providers in a clear and concise manner, providing information consistent with department guidelines.
- Maintains professionalism in response to escalated provider calls.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. One year experience in provider relations, member services, or claims. Experience in a contracting/negotiation setting desirable
Pay Range: $15.29 - $26.20 per hour
