In this role, the Prototype Readiness Leader is responsible for the end‑to‑end readiness and execution of automotive electronic prototype builds, from design concept through customer shipment. The position serves as a key coordination role across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Logistics, and Program Management, ensuring that prototype activities are executed safely, on time, and in line with customer and program expectations.
The Prototype Readiness Leader leads and supports the Prototype Build Operations Team, drives build preparation and execution, actively manages risks and issues, and communicates build status and readiness to internal stakeholders and customers throughout the prototype lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
· Own end‑to‑end prototype launch execution from concept through customer delivery.
· Act as the single point of contact for prototype launch readiness and performance.
· Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management) aligned with prototype launch timing.
· Define, maintain, and control prototype launch plans, milestones, and timelines.
· Validate readiness of BOMs, materials, processes, capacity, and documentation.
· Monitor execution and drive issue resolution, risk mitigation, and escalation.
· Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety rules, and customer requirements.
· Participate in project and program meetings to receive latest information and communicate prototype launch status, risks, and mitigation actions.
· Coordinate lessons learned and drive continuous improvement for future prototype launches.
· Development of Prototype project timing incorporating all project milestones and constraints.
What we’re looking for:
· Engineering background (education or equivalent hands‑on engineering experience) in manufacturing, electronics, mechatronics, or a related technical field.
· 2–3 years of experience in launch execution, prototype readiness, project coordination, or manufacturing operations, preferably in an industrial or automotive environment.
· Experience with electronic or electro‑mechanical products (e.g. power electronics, control units, assemblies) is a strong advantage.
· Proven ability to work cross‑functionally, coordinating Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program teams.
· Technical understanding, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, schematics, and technical documentation.
· Demonstrated capability to manage multiple parallel activities, set priorities, and adapt quickly in a fast‑changing launch environment.
· Solid communication skills, with the confidence to participate in project meetings and clearly report status, risks, and mitigation actions.
· Structured, organized and proactive mindset with strong problem‑solving and escalation skills.
· Fluency in English is required; French is an asset.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project timing tools.
