Proteomics Scientist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Proteomics Scientist to join our team focused on elucidation drug mechanisms and developing new proteomic technologies for target  discovery. This role will focus on designing and executing experiments using disease-relevant cell models and require analyzing proteomic experiments. They will be pivotal  in advancing our diverse platform and contributing to drug discovery project teams and require collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive research initiatives. They will  immediately be responsible for participating in a variety of interdisciplinary collaborations with protein biochemistry, bioinformatics, and functional genomic colleagues. The proteomics group is dedicated to unraveling drug mechanisms,  discovering biomarkers, and uncovering novel targets using the state-of-the-art instruments and innovative methods.

About You

You are a self-driven, dedicated laboratory scientist who can demonstrate excellence at the bench and passionate about elucidating biological mechanisms. You show strong  critical thinking and problem-solving skill to effectively execute research plans and will be a part of strategic planning. You are excited by applying the latest methods of proteomics to drug discovery and working in a multidisciplinary environment. You enjoy establishing new methods, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment where pushing  the boundaries of what is possible is the norm. Your knowledge, expertise, and communication skills are critical to drive the projects and deliver in a timely manner. It is desirable you have applied proteomics to elucidate disease relevant target biology.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct global proteome, interactome, and phospho-proteomics
• experiments that can identify biomarkers or elucidate drug mechanisms.
• Develop, validate, and utilize relevant cell models to inform target or lead-
• molecule analysis.
• Interpret and present scientific findings at program updates. Provide scientific
• input and propose follow-up experiments as a subject-matter expert in
• proteomics techniques.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively across diverse technology development
• and drug discovery research teams to successfully achieve scientific goals.
• Identify and establish emerging proteomics methods/technologies, advance them
• within the company and demonstrate their value for drug discovery.
• Contribute to scientific publications, patents, and presentations to disseminate
• research findings both internally and externally.

Qualifications

• Ph.D in biochemistry, cell biology, or related field with strong experience in mass
• spectrometry-based proteomics

Compensation

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, seeking to provide an open, flexible, and friendly work environment to empower employees and provide them with a platform to develop their long term careers. A Summary of Benefits is available for all applicants. We offer a competitive package that includes base salary, bonus, and equity.  The base pay range for this position is expected to be $130,000 - $170,000 annually; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the market, job-related knowledge, skills and capabilities, and experience.
