Role Overview

This individual contributor role is critical in supporting the safety and security of our senior leaders, employees, and assets. The Executive Protection & Security Specialist will apply strategic security principles and a proactive, risk-based approach to executive protection, event security, and protective services program elements. The role requires strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate effectively in dynamic environments—including but not limited to public engagements, large-scale events, and rapidly evolving situations.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Protection Planning: Implement and coordinate comprehensive executive protection plans for high-profile individuals within the organization. Risk & Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify threats and recommend mitigation actions for people, events, and business operations. Protective Services Support: Provide driving, logistics, and protective services under senior management direction for senior executives, members of the Board of Directors, and select others as directed. Public Engagement & Travel Security: Ensure the safety and security of senior leaders and employees during public appearances, meetings, and other engagements, including domestic and international travel support. Event Security Operations: Coordinate security operations for corporate events (conferences, meetings, special events), partnering with event planners, security logistics, and stakeholders to ensure security plans are in place and communicated. On-Site Team & External Coordination: Coordinate on-site security teams and interface with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed. Audits, Inspections & Compliance: Conduct regular security audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant industry standards. Security Technology Enablement: Implement and monitor security technologies and systems to enhance overall security posture (e.g., surveillance and related tools). Training & Awareness: Provide training and guidance to employees on security best practices and emergency response procedures. Protective Services Program Execution: Manage designated elements of the Protective Services program as assigned by leadership. Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Site Security Leaders, HR, Legal, Facilities, and other stakeholders to support security-related issues and initiatives. After-Action Reporting: Administer After-Action Reports for special events, executive protection activities, and security logistics efforts; capture lessons learned and improvement actions. Special Projects: Undertake and manage special projects as assigned, ensuring timely completion and clear stakeholder communication. Crisis Response Support: Rapidly deploy to locations requiring additional security support during crises or incidents.

Required Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, or a related field, or 10 years of law enforcement or military service in a related field
  • Firearms / Authority to Carry: Candidates will be required to carry a firearm. Must meet applicable LEOSA eligibility requirements and be legally authorized to carry a concealed firearm.
  • Fitness: Pass Fitness for Duty Examination
  • Executive Protection Experience: Previous experience in executive protection, preferably with high-profile clients
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally; estimated travel, on average 40-60% but can vary depending upon business needs.
  • Large-Scale Event Experience: Proven track record of supporting security operating in large-scale events
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to operate under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Discretion: Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the job
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in security technology and surveillance systems
  • Rapid Deployment: Must be able to deploy rapidly to support urgent and/or emerging security needs.

  • Work Schedule: Full-time position with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Compensation & Benefits: The pay range for this position is $133,000.00-212,000.00 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
