Prospect Development and Research Coordinator

The Prospect Development and Research Coordinator will work as a member of the Endeavor Health foundations’ Philanthropy Operations team to support the identification, research and analysis of prospects for cultivation and solicitation to drive the foundations’ philanthropic portfolio growth and revenue raised in support of Endeavor Health initiatives. Areas of philanthropic support include clinical excellence, patient care, innovative research, and training the next generation of clinicians and staff.

The Endeavor Health foundations seek a detail-oriented and enthusiastic team member to provide fundraising support across the foundations in pipeline development and donor outreach. This position will maintain data integrity and prospect qualifications related to portfolios and pipelines to increase donor loyalty and upgrades to gifts. The candidate should be a problem-solver and an analytical thinker, operating under the direction of the Prospect Development and Research Manager to support the delivery of complex data. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with members of the Philanthropy Operations and foundations’ teams to support fundraising goals.

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

  • Required Travel: travel to other Endeavor Health locations may be required for meetings

What you will do:

  • With direction from the Prospect Development and Research Manager and Analyst, conduct proactive and reactive research on prospects and donors to produce thorough, formatted profiles to advance prospect identification, qualification, cultivation and solicitation, including use of wealth screening and data modeling industry tools to enrich prospect evaluations and assessments.

  • Understand and adhere to established ethical standards regarding prospect research, particularly in maintaining confidentiality, discretion, and abiding by HIPAA standards throughout all work conducted.

  • Support the Prospect Development team and foundation teams on donor moves management. Track pipeline progress and donor activity through timely and accurate maintenance of key prospect details in the CRM, while supporting dynamic portfolio activity by working closely with the Prospect Development team and frontline fundraisers.

  • With guidance from Prospect Development Manager and Analyst, maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency of workflows to inform accurate reporting, analytics and data outcomes across the foundations.

  • Keep up to date with current philanthropic research, industry professional organizations and benchmarked standards to consider best practices for the foundations’ strategies towards reaching goals.

  • Maintain an ongoing depth of knowledge of Endeavor Health’s programs, initiatives, personnel and opportunities to align with prospective donor engagement.

  • Other relevant duties as required to support donor development and outreach.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fundraising, Technology, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field, required

  • Certification: n/a

  • Experience:

    • 1-2+ years of experience working with data in a consumer or donor-focused environment, including at least 1 year in a development or related role, preferably in healthcare or higher education, required. Candidates should also enjoy working with data and donors.

    • 1-2+ years of experience with Salesforce or another donor CRM, preferred.

  • Unique or Preferred Skills:

    • Knowledge of prospect research and management in non-profits and experience with research tools and methods as well as writing research profiles. Some understanding of frontline fundraising domains and how they are supported by strong prospect development.

    • Proficiency with MS Office and proactively working with Salesforce or similar CRM is required.

    • Tech-savvy and avid learner with a keen interest in fundraising, nonprofit trends, data and donor relations.

    • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to relate and interact warmly and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including system leadership, cross-departmental partners, vendors, prospects and discerning donors.

    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and with discretion.

    • Excels in project planning: multi-tasking, goal setting, accountability, attention to detail and workload prioritization.

    • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to relate well to individuals from diverse backgrounds.

    • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and proactively address challenges in a fast-paced, emerging and dynamic environment with ongoing deadlines.

    • Ability to constructively accept and process feedback and a collaborative working style.

    • Continuously seek ways to improve processes, increase efficiencies and actively pursue professional development opportunities.
