Professional Services Engineer

Join our Pro Services team as a Professional Services Engineer and be responsible for delivering XProtect deployments to organizations across a global network of more than 500,000 installations. You will directly contribute to project outcomes by collaborating with resellers and customers, ensuring ethical, secure, and people-focused solutions at every step.

What You'll Do

  1. Manage and execute end-to-end implementation projects, including planning, scoping, installation, deployment, basic technical training, and implementation.
  2. Collaborate with customers to fully understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  3. Effectively manage and communicate project tasks and commitments with customers, partners, and system integrators.
  4. Collaborate directly with end customers to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues related to system integration, hardware compatibility, and software functionality, ensuring their unique needs are met and their systems operate reliably.
  5. Deliver upgrade projects and ensure smooth transitions.
  6. Manage customer expectations, ensuring implementations stay within scope and timeline.
  7. Interface with internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, R&D, and Product Management) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  8. Identify risks, manage scope changes, and develop contingency plans.
  9. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including system configuration, hardware, and network settings.
  10. Communicate with customers through various channels (onsite, phone, email, or chat) until issues are resolved.

What You Have

  1. Experience with deployment of Enterprise VMS software (a plus if it is Milestone)
  2. Practical experience with Windows, Windows Server, and Microsoft SQL databases.
  3. Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
  4. Demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory).
  6. Experience managing customer deployment projects.
  7. Experience with cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS) is advantageous.
  8. High Availability (HA) configuration or architecture experience is a plus.
  9. Certifications in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, or similar technologies are a plus.
  10. Experience in security and customer insights markets, specifically in Video Management Software (VMS), is advantageous.

The annual OTE for this position ranges from $105,000 to $120,000. Pay is based on the level, location, complexity, responsibility, and job duties of the specific position and is just one component of Milestone's total compensation package. Additionally, we offer an attractive benefits package that includes medical/dental benefits, FSA or HSA, 401k with 6% Safe Harbor employer match, paid parental leave, generous PTO (20 days' vacation, 10 days paid sick time, and 12 company holidays), fully paid Short Term disability policy, fully paid Long Term disability policy, and Life Insurance.
