About the Role:
The Proposal Writer is responsible for developing high-quality proposal content in response to government bid solicitations. The Proposal Writer will assist in all stages of the proposal development lifecycle. This is a remote position requiring no travel, with the possible exception of a trip to HQ (Hollywood, FL) once or twice a year.
Job Responsibilities:
Proposal Creation
- Develop compelling proposal narratives, ensuring the messaging aligns with solicitation requirements while also creating engaging, easy to read content.
- Drive the creation of proposal outlines, templates, and other supporting documents.
- Write, edit, and proofread ClassWallet’s responses to RFPs.
- Contribute to template creation and process refinement.
Research and Information Gathering
- Conduct research on government agencies, programs, and procurement processes.
- Gather and organize information from various sources to drive proposal development.
- Assist in the analysis of solicitation documents to identify key requirements and evaluation criteria.
Content Formatting and Production
- Format proposal content and documents according to client specifications and style guides.
- Assist in identifying the need for and inserting images, tables, and other visual elements to succinctly represent otherwise complex content.
- Support the finalization and production of proposals for submission.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with internal teams, contributing to a positive work environment. .
- Communicate effectively through Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, etc.) to provide updates, seek clarification, and address feedback.
- Proposal Writer: Minimum 5+ years of proven experience writing proposals, preferably in response to government RFPs
- Senior Proposal Writer: Minimum 8+ years of proven experience writing proposals, 3 years writing responses to government RFPs
- Ability to articulate the value of the ClassWallet solution in an engaging and compelling manner, aligning proposal responses with our overarching marketing messaging and brand strategy
- Familiarity with formal proposal processes such as the Shipley method
- Strong ability to write engaging, clear, and concise proposals
- An understanding of government (RFI/RFQ/RFP) or other complex contract bids
- Excellent research and analytical skills, including ability to analyze and interpret business or government data and information
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a goal-oriented team environment
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Experience in writing software, such as Google Suite, MS Word, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher, or Adobe Photoshop
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to adhere to style guides and edit for grammar
- Highly agile with exceptional attention to detail
