Position Purpose:

Completes all marketing Requests for Proposals (RFPs)/Request for Information (RFIs) for large group marketing. Develops/maintains databases of information for the RFPs and RFIs.  Collects/analyzes market data and provides management with reports.

Logistics:

This is a hybrid full-time position working (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, at 4101 Percival Rd. Columbia SC, in an office environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Completes all RFPS/RFIS from agents, brokers, and consultants. Ensures that proposal responses are accurate, consistent, and responsive and promotes the advantages of our products and services.
  • Retrieves information from all functional areas of the health plan and develops/maintains/updates database for these proposal databases.
  • Collects/analyzes statistical data regarding proposal activity, and existing/potential products and markets. Designs/prepares/generates and maintains reports that utilizes data to forecast future market conditions and customer preferences. Provides management with detailed reports and makes recommendations for improvement.

To Qualify for This Position, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR
  • Four years' experience marketing support, sales, market research, communications, and/or data analysis.
  • Four years' experience in marketing support, sales, market research, data analysis, and/or communications.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Experience with Digital Library Management
  • Experience with RFP responses
  • Health Insurance Experience

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of marketing principles/techniques and the marketplace.
  • Good judgment skills.
  • Analytical/critical thinking/presentation skills to develop methodologies and processes used to gather and analyze market research data.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in editing and writing skills to include spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Microsoft Office.

Work Environment:

  • Typical office environment.
  • May involve some travel between office buildings.
  • May involve some out-of-town travel.
