As a Proposal Writer, you’ll work alongside experienced Capture Managers, technical SMEs, and operational leaders to shape Federal proposals that stand out, drive Mayvin’s continued growth, and help us win work supporting the important National Security missions of our Government customers.


Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must possess an active Secret clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain one.


Responsibilities:

  • Write and refine compliant, persuasive technical and management proposal content, including approaches, methodologies, staffing, transition, quality, and risk management
  • Analyze solicitation documents (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, PWS/SOW, Sections L/M) and translate requirements into clear, evaluator-focused proposal responses
  • Collaborate with SMEs, program managers, and capture teams, to gather information and develop solution-focused proposal narratives
  • Develop tailored past performance narratives and key personnel qualifications aligned to relevance, complexity, and solicitation requirements
  • Participate in proposal planning, solutioning, storyboarding, and color-team reviews
  • Edit proposal content for clarity, accuracy, readability, and alignment with win themes, discriminators, and customer requirement
  • Support BD activities, including opportunity research, reusable content development, and RFI responses
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Business, or related field
  • At least five years of professional proposal or technical writing experience supporting Federal Government proposals
  • Strong understanding of Federal solicitations
  • Proven ability to develop clear, evaluator‑focused technical, management, past performance, and key personnel content
  • Excellent writing, editing, and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and meet tight deadlines

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Shipley or similar Federal proposal development methodologies
  • Experience developing content for complex technical and professional services requirements (SETA, mission support, engineering, national security, law enforcement)
  • Experience participating in formal color‑team reviews
  • Responsible use of AI‑enabled writing and research tools
