The Proposal Development Analyst supports our client acquisition and retention efforts by building our presence within the PBM market through our proposal support for our downstream clients. Assisting our current clients with proposal efforts allows us to grow our business by growing our current client business. The Proposal Development Analyst is responsible for project management and completion of all proposal and proposal related documents, i.e., planning, scheduling, organizing, and coordinating all elements of client proposal support activity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completing assigned Client Support RFPs in accordance with the deadline
- Creating internal timelines to ensure all quality checks and processes are complete
- Ensures competitive strategies are incorporated into persuasive, compelling, and client-focused responses
- Accountable for effective communication and coordination with such staff as account management, finance, legal, and subject matter experts (SMEs)
- Manage multiple projects under dictated timelines
- Manages RFP content specific to the clients; supported as defined by the needs of the client
- Thorough review of all RFP documents
- Communicate overall project health
- Identify project risks
- Escalate risks to leadership
- Coordinate all analysis requests
- Complete project work as assigned accurately and within specified deadlines
- Project close-out - update project tracking log with key deliverables
- Contributes to the department goal of improved efficiency, effectiveness, and the capture of strategic customer opportunities through the use of reference resources that support proposal development activities, and by guiding and mentoring
- Additional responsibilities include:
- Complete project work as assigned accurately and within specified deadlines
- Participate in relevant training opportunities that will enhance both individual performance and overall unit performance
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience writing creative, concise, strategically correct, and persuasive business proposals preferably in pharmacy benefit management industry or health care industry
- 2+ years of experience with proposal-development processes and project management
- 2+ years of experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment with tight time frames and strict deadlines
- Understanding of the company and PBM market
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent tight timeframes. This job requires detail-oriented project management skills with excellent organizational skills and a focus on details and quality
- Proven ability to exercise good judgment when escalating non-standard requests
- Proven ability to make quick effective decisions and communicate seamlessly within the team
- Proven ability to shift priorities quickly and stay in tune with product upgrades and developments and specifics of the master client contract
- Proven process and detail oriented with a forward thinking ability to present solutions and identify efficiencies
- Proven superior verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven excellent writing skills (technical and content)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing a proposal content database
- Familiarity with Qvidian
