Job Overview:
The Promotion Manager serves as the official gatekeeper for all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities across the firm. This role ensures that all public-facing content, campaigns, and investor communications strictly comply with Capital Market Authority (CMA) regulations, protect investors from misleading information, and align with internal business goals.
- Collect required information and data to assess clients' capability and tendency to afford risks, creating detailed risk profiles.
- Conduct market research to understand retail customer needs, preferences, and behaviors regarding CFD products.
- Design targeted promotional campaigns to enhance brand visibility, attract new retail customers, and retain existing clients.
- Collaborate with compliance, legal, and risk management teams to align marketing strategies with company policies.
- Analyze the performance of marketing activities and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare regular reports on marketing activities, consumer insights, and regulatory updates for senior management.
- Gatekeeping & Review: Oversee all promotional activities—including print/digital ads, campaigns, roadshows, online content, and seminars—to ensure complete compliance with CMA rules.
- Mandatory Disclosures: Ensure all risk warnings, regulatory disclosures, and licensing details are accurately included in all client-facing and promotional content.
- Accuracy Control: Verify that no misleading, deceptive, or exaggerated statements are communicated to investors.
- Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the firm and the CMA.
- Internal Auditing & Record-Keeping: Maintain structured records of all promotional campaigns and activities conducted by the firm.
- Risk & Violation Reporting: Report any compliance risks or promotional violations immediately to Senior Management and the CMA, when required.
- Total number of clients acquired through promotional activities.
- Total expenses incurred per promotional campaign.
- Total revenue generated via promotional efforts (including commissions or fees charged for promoting third-party clients).
- Staff Education: Educate and train internal teams on distinguishing between formal Promotion (explaining products with specific guidance) and Introduction (referrals without detailed product explanations).
- Compliance Advisory: Provide continuous guidance to marketing and business development teams on what constitutes compliant communication vs. regulated promotional activity.
Requirements
- 1+ year experience in a same or similar function.
- Strong understanding of UAE Financial markets regulations.
- Proven experience reviewing and approving regulated financial marketing content.
- Passed UAE Financial Rules & Regulations examination.
- Accredited by SCA/CMA or eligible to be approved as Promotion Manager.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Compliance, and senior management.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
