You will work directly with Hardware Engineering leads for next generation components plus Product Management to support and develop project goals and timelines that align to and meet targets for Motional’s future product roadmap.  As such, you should be comfortable working in a sometimes ambiguous environment and be able to act as the ‘glue’ that synergizes engineering and product in the development of next-generation technologies.

 The ideal candidate would be highly self-motivated and have the willingness to dive right in and enjoy tackling and solving complex challenges on a daily basis and have the ability to work cross-functional areas. Strong collaborator, able to work with others to understand and clarify requirements. 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the product development journey of component(s) to meet various milestones on our way to launch Robotaxis
  • Develop project schedules, mitigate risks, and manage financial commitments, while executing project(s) through a structured product development process 
  • Work with cross competency teams to define requirements and deliver products with required performance and schedule
  • Work with suppliers and/or internal customers to facilitate technical discussions, align on key requirements and bring all around clarity on the deliverables
  • Evaluate and track progress of supplier project progress and product maturity; reporting status to program management organization and leadership 

What you'll bring: 

  • BS in Engineering 
  • 4+ years of project management experience 
  • PMP or comparable certification (Project Management Professional) 
  • Experience with Automotive Electronics component developments (ex. Radars, Lidars, Vision Systems, HMI) as OEM or Tier 1
  • Ability to interface and act as liaison to suppliers, internal customers and management 
  • Works well with ambiguity
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications: 

  • MS in Engineering or MBA Preferred 
  • Experience with Autonomous Driving technology
  • Experience developing Electronics component with Software Development Teams (Application / Middleware / Drivers / BSP)
