The Product Development team is a part of the Farming Solutions & Digital group that designs and builds customer-facing digital solutions that maximize value for farmers and advisors. Our work helps fuel and expose Corteva's scientific innovation.
The Technical Program Manager partners with functional and multi-functional leaders to drive the planning and execution of sophisticated technical programs. As a Technical Program Manager, you will support and mentor teams toward high performance by empowering them to utilize Agile methods, enabling quality delivery while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement. This role will optimize team efficiency by removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's goals and by preserving flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes. You will work in tandem with all stakeholders (including but not limited to Engineering, Product Management, User Experience etc.) in driving the execution of cross-functional technical programs.
Responsibilities:

  • Bring excellent insight into new programs around dependencies / potential issues, influences the design of projects, and rapidly identifies and resolves technical dependencies and risks.
  • Work closely with TPM Manager to develop rolling roadmaps that capture cross team dependencies and resource capacity.
  • Coordinate the overall implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific Programs.
  • Work with partners to identify & manage program dependencies & develop an execution plan.
  • Broker agreements between partner groups. Facilitate conversations and broker new agreements when such agreements change.
  • Constantly supervise and report on the progress of Programs/Projects to all partners.
  • Where business unit funding is needed, execute the process of scoping and budgeting.
  • Identify process gaps & inefficiencies.
  • Promote & implement process & tool improvements to make processes repeatable & predictable.
  • Mentor/Train junior staff members within the PMO team.
  • Lead key process improvement initiatives.


Qualifications
What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

  • Bachelor degree (Masters preferred) in computer science, math, engineering or related fields
  • Expert level in the Agile Methodology using Scrum as well as waterfall
  • 10+ years of overall software industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Program/Project management in a complex cross team environment.
  • 1 year of experience developing software as a developer/ quality assurance engineer/ application support engineer
  • Extensive knowledge of Atlassian Jira, Jira Advanced Roadmaps, CA Agile Central (Formerly Rally), Version One or similar tools is highly desirable.
  • Project Management Certification (PMI-PMP) and Agile Certification (PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM) or equivalent experience preferred
  • Effective in high-pressure and/or ambiguous situations; anticipates and adjusts long-range plans to meet changing complex and interdependent needs; able to take on and lead multiple assignments.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the systems architecture that impacts assigned projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and social skills, with a consistent record of taking initiative and building strong, positive relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
