The Red Hat North America Public Sector Red Hat Consulting team is looking for an extremely organized and detail-oriented Senior Project Manager to join us. In this role, you will manage high complexity projects to successful completion, from initiation through delivery and closure. This role requires excellent coordination of cross-functional teams to bring strategic projects to completion on time and within budget. We'll need you to have substantial experience managing enterprise DevSecOps solutions and software consulting projects, relying on traditional systems, software development methodologies, and practical experience with agile project management methodologies.
What you will do

  • Coordinate cross functional team meetings (customer, support, finance, sales, resource management, etc.)
  • Initiate, monitor, and control, and closeout high complexity projects
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks and resolve issues
  • Support the development of customer business goals and ensure success
  • Manage a scrum team and lead agile ceremonies
  • Develop and effectively present and communicate project collateral
  • Coordinate with the Resource Management Office (RMO) to manage project staffing requirements
  • Act as the point of contact between the consulting team, the customer, and all other stakeholders
  • Support accounting activities as required to include obtaining copies of receipts for finance invoicing queries
  • Support the Operations team in procuring sub-contractors
  • Coach and mentor project managers
  • Maintain exemplar level of professionalism when problem solving and guiding issues to closure
  • Develop foundational knowledge and maintain an awareness of emerging Red Hat technologies


What you will bring

  • Knowledge of specific industry project management and technical delivery methodologies based on PMI, systems and software development, product development, and Scrum methods
  • 8+ years of experience as a project manager managing IT Implementation based projects
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in transformational projects
  • Ability to influence, inspect, and adapt culture within consulting teams and customers
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate project team and individual contributors and mediate conflicts
  • Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Project management certification, e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent
  • Active Top Secret with Full Scope Polygraph clearance required
  • Willingness to travel 100% time
