Department OverviewVaaS (Video Analysis As a Service) Company, is a leading global provider of data and image analytics for vehicle location. The company’s image capture and analysis platform, which includes fixed and mobile license plate reader cameras driven by machine learning and artificial intelligence, provides vehicle location data to public safety and commercial customers. Acquired in January 2019, this new product offering will expand the Motorola Solutions Command Center software portfolio with the largest shareable database of vehicle location information that can help shorten response times and improve the speed and accuracy of investigations.
Job Description
The Business Development & Training Group consists of prior Law Enforcement professionals. The group’s experience is diverse with almost every aspect of the Law Enforcement profession being represented. The group is directly responsible for training and for the continued development of current, new, and prospective users of the company’s technologies.
There are two main aspects of this position. The first is to support the Business Development & Training Group by identifying gaps/opportunities for training and revenue sources within our current or potential clients. They will help to implement workflow and procedures to ensure the Business Development & Training Group provides our current clients efficient trainings, but also identify opportunities.
The second function of this position will be to coordinate the sharing of data from non-law enforcement accounts to local law enforcement and other governmental organizations through the Enterprise License Plate Recognition Program (ELPRP). The position will proactively maintain contact with all parties and provide investigative support to non-customer agencies with the commercial LPR database. The primary purpose of this position is to convert non-customer agencies or up-sell existing customers.
Tasks may include:
- Analyzing, entering, and understanding multiple data sources
- Implement & optimize training workflow (communicating with clients, creating training sessions, analyzing training data for efficiency, etc.)
- Identify areas of the country for training sessions that could lead to revenue
- Identify opportunities for up-sells within existing clientele
- Coordinate the ELPRP communication lines between Law Enforcement & Non-Enforcement, & foster relationship to ensure support
- Facilitate NCIC and State Hotlist coordination/distribution
This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of the Customer Training and Development Group, situated within the Software Division. This is a virtual location position (work from home).
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of public safety, military, or customer service experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Database and analytical skills (Power BI or Tableau preferred)
- Working knowledge of business programs such as Google Slides, Sheets, Gmail and other G-Suite related tools; Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other related products
- Passport or ability to obtain within first 90 days of employment preferred
- Prior Law Enforcement experience preferred
- This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
Basic Requirements
- 2+ years of public safety, military, or customer service experience
- Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
