Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. CO+I is responsible for building and operating Microsoft's cloud infrastructure - including supply planning, acquisition, design, construction, build-out, operations and decommissioning.

Within CO+I, the Compliance & Assurance (C&A) team is responsible for protecting Microsoft's cloud through the design and implementation of controls to mitigate risk. We assess control effectiveness and regularly demonstrate CO+I's robust governance framework in internal and external audits.

We are looking for an inclusive, adaptive, detail-oriented, and highly motivated individual to provide privacy guidance to teams within the entire CO+I organization.! This is a unique opportunity to work within the evolving data center space to provide privacy guidance on a wide array of interesting and cutting-edge topics.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead role in performing complex privacy reviews and ensure privacy reviews are appropriately documented.
  • Maintain clear documentation and evidence of privacy compliance across the organization.
  • Participate in development and maintenance of CO+I Privacy systems, tools and processes to ensure compliance with privacy policies and standards.
  • Develop privacy training and awareness content and support related initiatives across the CO+I organization.



Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Privacy experience in large enterprise Privacy programs or in consumer Privacy programs.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the computer software industry or services industry with exposure to challenges and opportunities related to compliance.
  • 3+ years of Proven program management experience working with multiple projects and diverse goals.



Preferred Qualification:

  • IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or similar is required or should be acquired within 6 months of hire.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change.
  • Strong understanding of global privacy landscape, privacy policy, and privacy risk.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; proven experience working within a team and through cross-group collaboration.
  • Proven program management experience working with multiple projects and diverse goals.


Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
