Your Role

Intuit's Assisted Tax Program Delivery team is looking for a creative problem solver with a passion for tackling tough customer problems, at scale, to join us as a Principal Technical Program Manager. The role is responsible for stewarding critical strategic initiatives and driving the delivery of transformational change by providing leadership and direction to assigned software programs. The candidate will have a proven record of complex software delivery that is highly cross-functional and requires end to end coordination across Marketing, Product Management, Design, Development, Data, Customer Success and other groups. Experience managing software programs that enable two-sided markets or having multi-sided platform experience is a plus.

  • Strong Program Management leadership experience, including 10+ years leading multiple complex programs.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Proven ability to work in a matrixed environment, and ability to influence at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple locations
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective consultative and influencing approach
  • Motivated self-starter with an attention to detail, but who's also flexible and able to innovate under new and/or changing conditions.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate objectives, plans, status and results clearly, focusing on critical key points.
  • Proven ability in unearthing and managing risks in the program.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with programs for consumer software product delivery experience is strongly preferred over IT program experience (e.g. infrastructure, networking, hardware, security, business operations, etc.)
  • Experience managing programs around platform experience is a plus
  • PMP, Agile certifications or equivalent demonstrated practical technical program management experience is desired

  • Create program frameworks and scalable processes to enable large-scale, complex consumer software programs often involving multiple matrixed, internal and external cross-functional teams to execute
  • Partner and facilitate complex cross functional deliveries; People want to work with you again and again across all disciplines (engineers, designers, service experts, marketers, analysts and operations)
  • Establish program operating rhythms; leads cross-functional meetings and fosters teamwork; drives escalation and resolution of issues
  • Provide steady leadership in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines common to a rapidly growing company with an evolving business model
  • Participate in program success measures identification and tracking
  • Ensure that the scope of the projects within the program align with business priorities
  • Promote collaboration and coordination across broad categories of stakeholders
  • Manage program-level risks and interdependencies across projects
  • Escalate resourcing issues to resource managers and senior management
  • Facilitate trade-off decisions to optimize program benefits realization
  • Develop communication plans and interfaces with stakeholders to execute responsibilities
  • Provide program status reporting to senior leadership
  • Validate financial forecasts and provides ongoing reconciliation of resources and other related program expenditures, as needed
  • Connect strategy and execution to help the program team focus on business outcomes and drive pivots or trade-offs as needed
  • Mentor and guide other technical program managers and workstream drivers via program management best practices
  • Drive innovation and excellence in technical program management craft
