Role Summary
Magna is seeking a highly motived Manager to identify, evaluate, deploy, and manage autonomous mobile robot applications within Magna facilities. An ideal candidate should have experience with material handling systems used in manufacturing and/or warehousing operations. Experience with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and Warehouse/Manufacturing Execution System (W/MES) will be preferred. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, translating these opportunities into requirements, and leading deployment of AMR's. You will also work closely with engineering, business development, and strategy teams to translate business plans into product roadmaps and involve in product development activities from concept to serial production.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead identification of applications and develop strategy to deploy and scale AMR's applications within internal Magna customers.• Perform competitive analysis to evaluate new technologies and to define product KPI/ requirements.• Develop technology roadmap considering product strategy and business plans.• Coordinates business case evaluations with groups to assess AMR feasibility.• Work closely with cross functional teams to align product requirements, timeline, and cost.• Estimate and manage program timing, allocated resources, and budget.• Obtain all required information, data, and authorizations for successful execution of the programs.• Participates in cross-functional teams; coordinates project activities to drive projects from initiation to completion.• Performs project risk analysis, identifies risk areas, and develops alternate mitigation measures.• Remain flexible to changing responsibilities and workload adjustments
Key Qualifications/Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 7+ years of operations experience in manufacturing and/or warehousing.• Experience in developing and/or deploying material handling systems in a high-volume manufacturing and/or warehousing operation, preferably AGV's, AMR's etc.• Familiar with Manufacturing Execution Systems.• Demonstrated ability to manage and track progress against established Project timelines and milestones
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use hands to finger, handle, and feel. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and have adequate mobility to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.• Responsible for working in compliance with the provisions of the Health and Safety Act as well as any rules or standards otherwise specified by OSHA or MIOSHA or any other government regulations. Expected to exercise caution in all work activities and report any unsafe conditions, injuries, or near misses to the appropriate supervisor.
