We are currently seeking a IT Project Manager to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).

Seeking a creative IT project manager with experience executing complex software projects in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage communications with internal agency stakeholders and key external customers.
• Maintain budgeting estimates and actuals in order to stay within overall project budget and to provide monthly status reports to senior management and project stakeholders
• Tracks project milestones and create project schedule, sprint schedules, application release schedules and project roadmaps
• Develop expertise in the customers business and its relationship to the technology stack. Maintain the product backlog and work with stakeholder to prioritize tasks.
• Manage cross-functional collaboration and communication among team members
• Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements; bring needs together with IT resources
• Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, and uncover areas for improvement
• Facilitate project kick off and project close out meetings and the start and ending of project performance periods

Basic Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in IT
• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree required, preferably in Business or Information Technology, or a related field
  • an additional four years of experience will substitute a Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience working as a successful IT manager or business analyst

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Proficiency in Agile/SCRUM methodology
• Experience using JIRA to manage the day to day activities of the project team
• Ability to work with multiple teams and staff at all levels of experience and seniority
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Ability to train team members on Jira and Confluence operational usage and best practices
• Comfort with mentoring and guiding diverse teams and individuals
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

• Ability to work directly with clients at all levels of an organization, including high-level internal and external stakeholders.
• Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity, and clear appreciation of end customer needs.

Certifications

• Certified Scrum Master and PMP preferred
