HR Project / Program Manager

Job Description:

As an HR Project / Program Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage HR-related projects and programs within the organization. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including HR leaders, cross-functional teams, and senior management, to ensure successful project delivery and achieve strategic HR goals. Your role will involve planning, execution, monitoring, and control of HR projects, as well as coordination with internal and external resources. In addition to the core responsibilities of an HR Project / Program Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR communication strategies to effectively convey project updates, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Collaborate with HR leaders and stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines. Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and risk assessment.

Project Execution: Lead the execution of HR projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality standards. Coordinate activities of project team members, assign tasks, and provide guidance and support as needed. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and resolve any issues or risks that arise during implementation.

Stakeholder Management: Engage with HR leaders, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide regular project updates, and manage expectations. Foster effective communication channels and establish strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Communications: Develop an overall communication strategy for HR projects and programs. Identify key project messages, target audiences, and communication channels. Determine the most effective ways to disseminate project-related information and ensure consistent messaging across different communication platforms.

Resource Management: Identify and allocate appropriate resources, including personnel, technology, and tools, to support project execution. Collaborate with HR and functional leaders to ensure resource availability and utilization align with project requirements.

Change Management: Develop change management strategies and plans to facilitate smooth implementation of HR projects. Proactively identify potential impacts of changes on employees and HR processes, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize resistance and maximize adoption.

Risk Management: Identify project risks, assess their potential impact, and develop risk mitigation plans. Regularly monitor project risks and proactively address issues to minimize their impact on project timelines and deliverables.

Data Analytics: Leverage HR data and analytics to drive insights and inform decision-making. Identify relevant HR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project impact and success. Utilize data visualization techniques to present data-driven insights in a clear and meaningful manner to stakeholders.

Data-Driven HR Strategies: Collaborate with HR leaders and stakeholders to develop data-driven HR strategies and initiatives. Use analytics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improving HR processes, talent management, workforce planning, and employee engagement. Support evidence-based decision-making by providing actionable insights derived from data analysis

Project Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other project-related artifacts. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and best practices in HR project management. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement. Implement feedback and make recommendations to enhance project management methodologies and tools.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, HRMP) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in managing HR projects or programs, with a focus on process improvement, talent management, organizational development, or HR system implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, monitor, and control projects effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques, such as data visualization, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be approximately $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 annualized

We also offer participation in a Company Bonus Plan and full benefits.

The company may modify salaries, salary ranges and/or Pay Plans from time to time as it deems necessary.
