The Global Mobility team is responsible for developing and leading Microsoft's global relocation strategy, program design, and operations, and we facilitate the movement of key talent on a worldwide basis. We are seeking a Mobility Program Manager with experience in executing complex global programs. The role requires an experienced mobility professional with strong consulting, analytical, program management and cross-group collaboration skills to deliver results within a complex, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Program Design & Adaptation - You develop, evaluate and update Global Mobility programs to ensure competitiveness and align design with business needs.

Program Implementation - You measure the effectiveness of Global Mobility programs and benchmark programs against leading industry practices and global talent trends.

Program Management - You lead the execution of mobility programs and ad hoc projects; you provide key reports regarding expatriate-related statistics to senior leadership.

Data Analytics & Supplier Management - You help select and manage key suppliers, identify key performance indicators for Global Mobility, and enable reporting to provide strategic insights that help drive strategy, policy, and process development.

Mobility Education & Consultation - You provide consultation to high-level and executive candidates when making assignment/relocation/cross-border travel decisions.

Problem Solving - The ability to identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Consulting - The skill to influence others, develop and maintain working relationships, and deliver results and/or expertise for a client in a professional manner.

Data Analysis - The ability to systematically gather information from a variety of sources, analyze information, identify implications of data, draw conclusions, generate alternatives and solutions, and evaluate the consequences of choosing each alternative using quality metrics and data. This includes the ability to convert general data and findings into applied, specific information and suggestions that add value to business planning and strategies.

Immigration Process - Knowledge of guidelines and documentation required for immigration process, including work authorization, sponsorship, etc.

Vendor/Supplier Management - Knowledge of the process through which products and services are purchased for use by the corporation and the ability to identify, select, and manage vendors and suppliers who provide products and services to the company. This includes knowledge of the development of RFI's and RFP's and the ability to incorporate necessary technical requirements into contracts.

Global Mobility - Knowledge of Global Mobility policies, processes, programs, methodologies, and all aspects of cross-boarder movement of talent (e.g., immigration, relocation, destination services).

Global Mindset - Knowledge and understanding of global cultures, including similarities and differences. This includes the ability to work across organizational, functional, and geographic boundaries to drive communications, business strategies and multi-geography projects and teams; and adapt to a highly matrixed environment.

Employee Relocation and International Assignment Program Management - Knowledge and administration of the organization's relocation and international assignment plans and policies.

Global Mobility Information Systems - Knowledge of the functionality and components of Relocation/IA Systems from a user or first level support standpoint. This includes software-based systems that manage all or a part of the human resources function of an organization. Typical functionality includes employment demographics, benefits/compensation management, training, payroll and reporting.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a Human Resources role (e.g. Learning and Development, Employee Communications, Talent Acquisition, Compensation/Benefits) OR 7+ years of experience in a Human Resources role (e.g. Learning and Development, Employee Communications, Talent Acquisition, Compensation/Benefits) with Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences or related field


Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of project management experience
    Experience manging cross-border business travel programs (domestic and international)
  • Experience with data analysis and using large data sets to derive business insights and inform policy/process decisions (including the use of Power BI and other tools)
