About the job
The Red Hat Global Workplace Solutions team is looking for a Facilities Engineering Program Manager to join our global team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will build the facilities engineering program framework and bring forward innovative industry insights and strategies that influence the engineering program's direction. You will partner with and support Facilities Operations management and team members with subject matter expertise in a manner that is open and transparent and fosters ongoing relationships and collaboration.
What you will do

  • Clearly define and manage the facilities engineering program throughout its life cycle including the roadmap to support the overall strategy
  • Provide insight, guidance, and direction among multiple business partners to increase responsibility compliance and timely delivery of projects
  • Work closely with maintenance and project management teams for the alteration of electro-mechanical infrastructure, programmatic break fix, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Formulate and recommend strategies, objectives, budgets, plans, and procedures for enterprise wide preventative maintenance and energy management programs
  • Standardize facilities engineering equipment specifications and procedures
  • Create and implement processes for providing ongoing visibility to work, projects, priorities, and budgeted and unbudgeted expenses related to building engineering
  • Manage and coordinate the efforts of various outside design, layout, construction, and service disciplines in the design, costing, and alteration at various facilities
  • Transform information visually to provide a clear and intentional understanding of processes, risk mitigation, and results to key stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Review and estimate costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs
  • Create program status reports for Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) leadership on a regular basis and special reports when needed


What you will bring

  • Technical school certification or diploma in related technical program, state certified licensing designations, and equivalent experience in facilities management with 3+ years in a management or program management role
  • Accomplished with building programs from the beginning
  • Excellent knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations as they apply to design, construction, operations, and maintenance of buildings and building sites
  • Corporate experience outsourcing partners to fulfill specific projects in a corporate environment
  • Ability to deliver projects successfully using project or program management techniques and methods
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze, and interpret data and develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex matters of diverse scope and complexity
  • Ability to build productive high-level relationships with key stakeholders and confident sharing best practices, lessons learned, and expertise with various teams in an organization
  • Excellent skills with Google Suite and other software tools
